Washing
under
vacuum
Another device from our top of the line Vacuum-Cast series
is already working in the new production plant.
The washing process in this device takes place under vacuum, with the support of ultrasonics. In addition to the low energy consumption, the washing medium works in a completely closed, hermetic circuit. One could say that this is how a truly zero emission system and the future of green production should look like.
Vacuum
Thanks to the use of vacuum technology, the washing medium is able to penetrate places of parts that would normally be “blocked off” by air, such as for example blind holes. This means that during the vacuum washing, the geometry of the washed part is no longer an obstacle in achieving the best possible results.
Anticorrosion
What distinguishes this washer is a sophisticated anticorrosion protection system for parts after the washing process. In this project, we managed to combine two seemingly contradictory processes: degreasing and surface protection.
Work ergonomics
The washing installation is equipped with an automatic feeder for the technological baskets, capable of buffering up to 3 baskets in the loading and unloading zones. This allows for improved production planning by eliminating the need for the operator to be constantly engaged in loading/unloading of the washer.
All the user has to do is prepare a larger number of parts for washing, and the intelligent system will automatically pick up the next baskets, carry out the technological process and return them to the operator for collection.
In this application, during the planning process, after consultations with the customer, we came to the conclusion that it would be beneficial to design the line to facilitate the baskets that the customer has already in circulation in his manufacturing processes. This led to raising the construction bar even further as it forced us to adapt the transportation and loading system to not only one but to four different types of baskets.
Distillation and ecology
To achieve high repeatability of washing results, we used the vacuum distillation process. Thanks to it, we are able to separate contaminants that cannot be separated from the washing medium by any other method. And since the distillation in this case also takes place under vacuum conditions, the required energy is over a magnitude lower when compared to other methods.
